Glorious Week for St. George's Boarders

What a glorious week we've had! Temperatures were definitely spring-like, at times it even felt like summer and the sun was out all week!

Throughout the week our keen gardeners continued preparing the vegetable & flower patches and hopefully this week we get to plant some seeds and plants!

On Thursday our Boarders who joined SGIS' brand new sailing club - Helena, Riko, Anastasia, Ivy, Victoria, Cristina, Amelia, Marlies, Yago, Clark and Jayson - had their first session, and what a session it was!  In glorious sunshine they learnt the basics first before they launched their boats and were off sailing towards France!!  Everyone did amazingly well and returned buzzing at the end of the day (no one actually ended the day on the other side of the lake in France!)

It was also Earth Day on Thursday and Boarding monitors Salma & Aimee decided to get all the Boarders organised to do campus rubbish  clear up!  A great initiative and very successful with quite a few bags collected!

On Friday some of the Boarders made hot cross buns which made the whole school smell of fresh baking and they tasted delicious! Saturday some of the Boarders did some tie-dye t-shirts and as you can see, the results were amazing! Sunday was a true wellbeing day in boarding!  A leisurely brunch followed by some yoga outside and then a lesson on how to give head & shoulder massages!
